Alison Maria Eanes Score died on 21 March, 2010, one day before her 42nd birthday. She is survived by her husband Todd Score, children Courtney and Morgan, of Camano Island, WA, sister Alexandra Eanes, nephew Cole Walker, and parents Paul and Ray Eanes of Libby, MT.
Alison was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer on 20 August, 2003. She fought the disease with every ounce of her being but her body succumbed to the ravages of cancer.
Alison believed that one should not arrive at the Pearly Gates in good condition. She lived her life to the fullest and arrived at the gates dusty, well traveled, gregarious, and indignant. Alison planned to live; she did not plan to die. She planned to travel and lived a schedule that would exhaust the healthiest among us. She left no plans for her departure because to plan for death would be admitting defeat.
She was a wonderful mother to her daughters, a spirited wife, a guiding and opinionated sister, and a loving daughter. She was a friend to all who knew her and her laugh was infectious.
She was a lover of sports, bled purple and gold, and left this world with the brackets to the final four on the printer. She instilled her belief in her offspring that there is only one state school. She often told them that they could have a choice in the college they attended as long as it was the UW.
Alison left many friends behind. She especially cherished her “play group” friends on Camano Island and the fellowship she experienced with the members of Camano Lutheran Church. It takes a unique individual to have bagpipes as their ringtone. Alison’s Scottish roots ran deep and the connection she had with her extended family was strong.
We will miss her smile and zest for life.
